I was poking around looking for information on ATR and came across the site by Sylvain Vervoort.
The start page is here: http://stocata.org/index.html

I found it worth my time to explore the site completely. In particular the technical analysis tab and the MetaStock formulas. Over the last few days I have been playing with some of the formulas and deciding whether they are worthwhile or not.

Since I have settled on using ATR as an entry signal these are the ones I looked at first. One is a straight ATR and another is ATR combined with trend. I adjusted the time frame and multiplier to my own liking and plan to use both. The other indicator I plan to use is the SVE_STOP_TRAIL%. Again the percentage amount was adjusted to my own liking.

My intention with these three indicators is to use them as qualifiers for what I am already doing. Run a scan using the ATR I already have and then scroll the charts to see the positioning of the above mentioned indicators. If the price is below any of these three then the original signal is not taken.

The other indicators I am looking at using are the SVAPO and the HACO. Both are on the following charts.

Since I have just starting looking at all of the above indicators it remains a work in progress. Their usefulness remains to be seen but so far it seems worthwhile to place them into the toolkit. I will not go into any of the details since that is beautifully covered at the website. As well there are a large number of videos on YouTube. I would definitely recommend checking both the site and the videos out. I have very much found it was worth my time. Thank you Sylvain Vervoort.

Thank you for your time.

INNER WOLVES

Hello and welcome to my blog.

I do not know the source of the following except that it is from somewhere on the net. Liked it and decided to post it.

"A tribal elder was telling his grandson about the battle the old man was waging within himself. He said, “It is between two wolves, my son. One is an evil wolf: anger, envy, sorrow, greed, self-pity, guilt, resentment, lies, false pride, superiority and ego. The other is the good wolf: joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.”

The boy took this in for a few minutes and then asked his grandfather, “Which wolf won?” The old Cherokee replied simply, “The one I feed.”

Thank you for your time.
